I pulled out my old 8 track, loaded up an old zip disk and found this gem from back in '99 maybe? The Mark and Glenn all accoustic power ballad! Check out the "Misc Tracks" page in the mp3 section and download the track Believe! |

So just how does one go about creating a personal website without sounding like a complete pompous ass?
Writing an autobiography is one thing. Atleast there you are rewarded for allowing the reader to hear your true voice. Something where you hope to enable an attachment with the reader at a more personal level. But with an autobiography you would also (hopefully) have a publisher behind you, marketing you - not to mention that if you got this far you obviously have a pretty interesting life that people think others might like to hear about. Alas with a website... Sure its great being empowered to possibly play on a leveled playing field where anyone can reach anyone. But being just a small speck in the swirling waters of an ever running toilet - the only way to truly rise to the top is either by clogging the toilet and possibly going to jail, or to try to craft some content that will both appeal to people as well as be written in such a way that the almighty Googles and Yahoos might give you a search result somewhere in the first 12 pages of results - hopefully on a search term that you might even have something interesting to say something about. So to that extent I shouldn't be wasting valuable content rationalizing out through this keyboard what my true stance is on self promotion, but instead should be writing a couple of paragraphs each full of sentences repeating the terms music, guitars, mp3's - not to mention Muto... |
